Peaceful and welcoming, with a more contemporary feel. The room overlooks the lawn, with a view of the Beach Cottage at the rear of the house.
This room honors Roy Gamble, a great inventor, family man, and influential citizen of Independence. He was a man of many talents, and confident spirit. He and his first wife, Avanell, raised their family in this home, and gracefully entertained many citizens of Independence over the more than 70 years that they lived here.
Decorated in soft teals and gossamer golds. Soothing sunlight pours through the many windows of this room. Antique double bed and dresser from our family collection.
To accommodate larger families or guests with caregivers, the Roy Gamble Room can be combined with the Shirley Gamble Room to form a handicap-accessible suite, including private bathroom with roll-in shower.
