The Silver Heart Inn is an exclusive property located just outside Kansas City where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. The inn is open year round. Please call for special situations with children and pets. Smoking is not permitted inside the inn or cottage; however, designated outdoor smoking areas are available.
Standard Policies
Check In: 3pm- 7pm. If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements.
Check Out: 11am. Must be strictly adhered to. If you need to extend your stay, late check out charges can be applied to your card.
Minimum Stay: Two nights on Weekend/Holidays
Payment Method: We accept major credit cards. Your reservation is guaranteed with a deposit equal to one night’s stay. Rates are subject to change without notice.
Cancellations: Please call us at least seven days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation. In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than seven days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made in the form of gift certificates redeemable for one year. At the discretion of the management, in lieu of a non-refundable booking, a gift certificate may be issued for use up to one year. A 30 day cancellation is required on whole house bookings, holidays and special events.
In the event that we have to cancel a reservation, a full refund will be made.
Damaged and Missing Items: Please be advised any damaged or stolen property will result in additional charges to include but not limited to: stained or damaged linen, broken items, stolen items, stained carpet, and any damage to interior or exterior of the property. Each room is thoroughly inspected pre and post check in for stolen or damaged items.
Hot tubs: any extra cleaning or having to fully drain due to dirt and debris will result in additional charges accordingly.
Group Bookings: Bookings of two or more rooms for the same nights require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to check-in. If the reservation is cancelled 60 days in advance, no additional charges will be due. If the reservation is cancelled less than 30 days in advance, the full balance will be charged. Absolutely no parties!
Only guests staying at the inn are allowed on the property unless authorized in advance. Authorized guests must abide by all policies stated here. We reserve the right to remove any guest that is disruptive without warning.
Hot Tub Policies – Please DO NOT put anything in the Tubs! Outside chemicals can damage the filter and pump. Please shower any oils or lotion off prior to getting in the tub. Any excessive cleaning or damage may result in additional charges.
General Policies
Smoking or Vaping is not permitted inside the inn or cottage; however, a designated outdoor smoking area is available. A $300 cleaning fee will be charged for violation of this policy. Smoking is allowed only in designated area in the courtyard and is clearly marked. Smoking must be 50 feet from any building on the property. Absolutely no Marijuana on the property!
No Pets. Though we love animals, some guests are allergic and we want everyone to be safe.
No children under 12. Special situations allow for children, please call to make arrangements.
Visitors: guests must notify staff of any friends and family that may come to visit them in the main house or cottages. To ensure the relaxing stay for all guests visiting hours of 9am to 10pm will be enforced unless prior authorization is acquired.
We reserve the right to ask disruptive or destructive guests to leave without refund.
Parking: Each booked room or cottage has 1 on site parking spot. Addition vehicles or large vehicles such as moving vans will need to be parked off site.
Discounts
- Corporate Rates: 10% discount.
- Military Rates: 10% discount with valid active duty, reserve or retired military ID. Thank you for your service!
- Clergy Rates: 10% discount for active clergy with verification.
Gift Certificates
We honor gift certificates from BNB Finder as well as certificates issued by us. Gift certificates must be presented at check-in along with a valid driver’s license. Gift certificates are transferable. Remaining balances on gift certificates can be used at a later date up to the expiration date. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash. Gift Certificates issued as a courtesy in times of cancelled reservations which are non- refundable cannot be redeemed for cash or during holidays, blackout dates, and other peak times.
